Hello There. It's the eve of CNY Eve. Everyone's doing their last minute shopping CNY this coming week and that includes me as well. So to keep this space alive, I'm going to post some of the Japan photos that I took way back in 2009 where I went for a school exchange programme during my ITE Nitec year. Photos are all taken using my old Canon Powershot E1 camera. :)
We took a midnight flight over to Japan so it took us half a day to get to our destination.
[8th & 9th December 2009]
Upon reaching Narita International Airport, we still have to take a 1hour plane ride to our destination. And did I mention that it was FREEEEEEEZING when we touched down at the airport?!?!?! BRRRRR!!!
First thing we did when we touched down at our destination was to have our lunch at some local restaurant. Then after that, we went for a tea appreciation ceremony held at a local place where its kinda formal. LOL! Its my first time drinking authentic green tea, and we were given a sweet to munch cuz apparently the green tea is REALLY BITTER. The sweet is used to sweeten our tastebuds a little.
After the tea appreciation ceremony, we then checked into the first hotel that we'll be staying in. FYI we changed quite a number of hotels due to the places and locations we'll be going for the following days. So anyways, after we checked in to our hotel, we quickly changed and headed out for our dinner.
You know I have this "THING" for McDonald's. Like every country that I go to, I'll definitely try the McDonald's there. So without any hesitation, I went off to buy McDonald's for supper before heading back to our hotel. LOL!! When ordering, I had so much difficulty cuz the people there don't really speak English. So I have to depend on my communicating skills by pointing to the cashier the menu of the things I want to order.
That sums up my first day in Japan. More visuals will be up soon. :)
