So I finally had the time to sit down and properly write my post, despite the fact that I'm really really busy with my internship and stuff.
For Day 4, we went to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Coex Museum, Itaewon and did some shopping at Myeong Dong.
So we woke up early in the morning, and decided that we ought to have something different rather than having the same old Isaac Toast. We walked around Myeong Dong in search of of Budae Jjigae, also known as army stew luh! Its really really nice and affordable as well. It cost us 14,000 won for 2 people, so its around $8.75 per person.
It is located at a ally whereby its quite hard to look for. Just take not that its at the ally beside burger king shown on this picture below. And once you walked into the ally, turn right and you'll see a few stores, its the one at the middle.
Next, we went on to the subway station, but before that, Andy bought a backpack for 10,000 won which is about $12 SGD?? Its dirt cheap! As for me, I bought myself a banana milk cuz Korea subway allow its passengers to drink on their train station and its awesome!!!
We arrived at Gyeongbokgung Palace and we managed to witness royal guards changing ceremony. Took some photos around the palace, but we didn't pay the entry fee to go on further, so we only manage to take some pictures outside of the palace.
There were quite a number people over there waiting to see the guards changing ceremony, some people tried to take pictures with the guards but were kinda shuff off by them, including Andy. LOLOLOL!!
Took a mandatory touristy photo with the palace before leaving the place. After which, we walked to the King Sejong statue which is just a stone throw away from the palace. There's also a underground museum behind the statue which tell you about the history and some interactive machines that teaches you Hangul.
After exploring the underground museum, we headed off to our next destination, Coex Aquarium. Here's Andy trying to figure out how to go to Coex Aquarium.
I've seen these QR Code marketing gimmick on websites and such but never actually get to see it right with my own eyes. And on that day, I've finally seen it.
We arrived at Coex Aquarium after a distance walk. entrance ticket costs 22,000 won, which is $27.50 SGD.
Even though its called an aquarium, but there's so much more to that than just sea creatures. Over at Coex Aquarium, you can see fishes on quirky looking fish tanks. Bats, Electric Eel, Beaver, and etc.
We pretty much spent our entire afternoon over at Coex Aquarium. Here's Andy getting fancy over starfishes. I don't know, I can't even.... I've heard that starfish will suck your blood or something when you put them on your hands. LOL?!!!
After we exit the aquarium, we settled our early dinner at some hotdog restaurant nearby. Spent about 7400 won, which is around $9.25 SGD. Quite expensive though.... LOL!!!
Up next, we went to Itaewon in hopes of finding something that would be interesting or at least some good food. But to our disappointment, we found nothing. Lol! We ended up walking around the streets and it was getting quite late already and so we headed back to Myeong Dong after that.
Around evening time, the weather temperature will drop and it will tend to get a lot more colder. I really regretted not bringing extra outerwear there. DAYUM!!!
When we're back at MyeongDong, it started pouring, luckily I brought out my umbrella. HAHA! *pats on my back*
Andy wanted to get something from the MCM store, by hook or by crook. In the end, he got himself a MCM Classic Wallet, which costs about $200 over SGD. But I think by now he haven't even used it yet. Prolly lying somewhere around his wardrobe. LOL?!!
Settled down after shopping around the streets of MyeongDong, some of the stalls were already closed by the time when we were done at the MCM store. So we settled down for supper at Burger King before we head back to our hostel for Everland the next day.
For more information you can check out Andy's post on the link below. His is more informative than mine. Hahah! Till next post. Ciao~
