Chye Seng Huat Hardware

Visited Chye Seng Huat Hardware cafe on a sunny Thursday. At the first look, I didn't look like a cafe, but once you walk through the gate, it's another thing.

Located at somwhere at Tyrwhitt Road where Tiramisu Hero is located, it's just a few walks away from there.






The place is rather small IMO, there's outdoor and indoor seats, but I go with the latter cuz it was SUPER HUMID that day.

I managed to reach there and make my orders before 5pm. Just a note, their kitchen closes at 5pm, so yeap! If you guys are thinking of giving CSHH a visit, try to go before 5pm. I mean reach there before 5pm!!!

The interior of the place gives me the very old school kopitiam kind of feel, like everything is so old school, like the ornament displays, and the stools and such.



They have a bit too little variety of things to offer IMO, but nevertheless, I manage to settle for something from their menu. Ordered Italian Breakfasts which costs $12. Good thing about CSHH, you just pay whatever the cost is from the menu, there's no tax nor service charge. :)




Toasted Foccacia with 2 Poached Eggs, topped with Pork Bolognese Sauce and Parmesan Cheese. Extremely yummy, especially the pork bolognese sauce! Even my friend says its nice! ♥



What my friend ordered, cuppa hot coffee, croissant, and a Nine Layer Kueh (九层糕), CSHH also sell classic old school kueh such as what you see above, the Nine Layer Kueh, and also Ang Ku Kueh. All available at the display over at the counter.



You rarely see cafe's selling kueh's in Singapore. Hahaha! I would definitely come back to try the remaining items from their menu. If you guys are going, do try their Italian Breakfast, cuz its really really good!!!
