Tampines 1 Food Trail (part 1)

[Sponsored Event]

I was invited by friendly Sherie for a Bloggers Food Trail at Tampines 1. So the previous night, I save the empty space in my stomach so that I can eat and "tahan" all the way till the last stop! But sadly, by the 4th or 5th stop, I'm bloated already. Haha!

I'll be separating this food trail into 2 parts, but I'm not gonna blog according to the station/stops we go, because the last few are desserts, and I don't wanna bore you guys with pictures of desserts on part 2, so I'm just gonna mix it with the stations/stops that has main course in it.

We were first served with Ice Mint Lemon Tea in a beer jug. It was kind of interesting I guess, and their Ice Mint Lemon tea doesn't taste too sweet nor too sour, just right.

Over at Ramen Kagetsu Arashi, we were given 4 different types of ramen to try out. We have, the Miso Soup, Sea Salt Soup, Soya Sauce, and Chicken Soup Ramen.

Each ramen have a taste of its own, I'm not a pro food blogger, so I can't really critic, but then, my favourite would be the Chicken Soup Ramen (the one in white bowl), it tastes more appealing to me I guess, the sea salt and the soya sauce would be my least favourite though.

But from what I've heard, Ramen Kagetsu Arashi always has long queue at night, so if you want you can call them for more enquiries. :)

Now on to HOTPOT SINGAPORE STYLE! So basically we were given a set of food, and we are suppose to cook it like a hotpot! Teehee! It feels like having an early CNY Reunion Dinner, with my fellow blogger friends that is. Hahah! :)

It's also very suitable for family celerations or gatherings. The restaurant is fairly cozy, and the lighting and atmosphere just brings up the mood.

REUNION DINNER COMES EARLY FOR 2014!
HAHA!

Its so epic seeing them taking pictures and getting frantic over it. Its like, some of us prefer certain angles for the food to be placed and such. But they're a fun bunch. Me and Sherie was like sitting waiting for them to be done, then its our turn to snap pictures. Haha!

BLOGGERS AT WORK!!!

Not forgetting, the restaurant was kind enough to give zip lock bags for each of us, incase the soup drips onto our phone or we dirtied it or something.

Over at Hong Kong Sheng Kee, they not only sell desserts, they also sell snacks and main dishes. We went over there for their desserts though.

We sampled their Sheng Kee Mango Hor Fun, Lemongrass Jelly with Strawberry & Aloe Vera, and my ultimate favourite, the Durian Sago.

Sheng Kee Mango Hor Fun is not just any other desserts, this desserts selling point is the noodle like "Hor Fun" that is inside this dessert!

Check it out!

Lemongrass Jelly with Strawberry & Aloe Vera was very refreshing! Definitely the dessert for the hot day!

 photo P9293400.jpg

But still, my favourite would still have to be their Durian Sago! How can I not love Durian?!!! It's like the king of all fruits! Hahah! I would recommend both Sheng Kee Mango Hor Fun and Durian Sago! I mean, at least try it, Susan mentioned that it tastes different from the previous time she came, for the better of course!

We were given the Blizzard ice cream (Oreo) to try, there's other toppings like M&M's, Kit Kat, and many more! :D

The selling point of their ice cream is that it won't drop when you hold it upside down, but only for a few seconds though. Haha!

Not only that, we were also given the Moolatte (Cappuccino) to try too. In the end, their staff gave us alot to take away with us! Hahaha! They were super generous!!!

Yoguru
Location: #B1-K5
Opening Hours: 10am - 10pm

 photo P9293454.jpg

Now on to the last station/stop for part 1 of Tampines 1 Food Trail.

Yoguru goes a step further than the rest to guarantee that the health benefits of our frozen yogurt is retained. Most frozen yogurts are made from powders or pre-made liquid mixtures. However, with Yoguru, no expense is spared as we only use fresh ingredients that are completely natural with no preservatives.

In addition, Yoguru yogurt is produced in Singapore daily, which maximises and maintains live probiotic cultures that other frozen yogurt brands cannot claim.

I didn't know Yoguru has benefits for health as well!!!

Yoguru yogurt contains seven essential nutrients – calcium, potassium, magnesium, fibre and Vitamins A, C and E. It is also an excellent source of protein. Additionally, it helps to promote weight loss as studies have shown that a high calcium diet will ultimately favour bodies and aids in burning fats rather than storing fats.

Health benefits of Yoguru’s frozen yogurt with probiotics includes:

 - Aiding Metabolism: Acidophilus probiotic naturally fortifies the body’s microbial balance, helping to relieve chronic constipation.

- Improving Immune System: Helps promote immune cells

- Managing Lactose Intolerance: Helps individuals tolerate more lactose so they can get the benefits of diary without the digestive irritation

- Helping to Lower Cholesterol Levels: The acidophilus probiotic has been shown to interfere with cholesterol re-absorption

 - Lowering Blood Pressure

Now this gives me more reason on why I should eat more yogurts from Yoguru!!!

We were given 4 flavours to try, Original, Mango, Blueberry and Strawberry. Everyone liked the blueberry flavour, me too! The blueberry yogurt have this bubblegum taste in it, so its kinda special I guess?

 photo P9293464.jpg

Yeap! You guys should definitely try the blueberry flavour yogurt from Yoguru! Trust me, you won't go wrong! Hahah! Add fruity pebbles on it will be even better!!! ♥
