YAY! It's day 5 now! It feels kinda sad that my travelogue is coming to an end. :(((
SO ANYWAYS
For the itinerary today, we're going to Xin Bei Tou (北投) for HOT SPRINGS!!! Then after that, we'll head to Dan Shui (淡水) to have a magnificent view at Yu Ren Ma Tou (渔人码头) We had breakfast somewhere near the exit 6 of the metro stations. (Can't really remember the restaurant name). Ordered a set meal. The thing that I love about Taiwan restaurants is that everything comes in a set, and you don't have to worry about what to drink or so because everything is THERE for you. :D
We had Carbonara and Chicken Cutlet rice. Not too bad, but I feel as though we're having HEAVY breakfasts almost every single day. LOLOL!
AFTER THAT
Took metro to Xin Bei Tou for hot springs! YAY! I'm excited! :D
Reached Bei Tou station, and had to go to another platform to make a change in our trains in order for us to get to Xin Bei Tou station.
REACHED LIKE FINALLY!
Guess what happened?!!! I FREAKING LOST MY METRO CARD!!! What the hell! I'm running low on money already and this had to happen! Urghhh! I was so pissed! I hope the person who took my metro card gets diarrhea for his/her entire life!!!
NICE WEATHER! PERFECT FOR HOT SPRING-ING~
Noelle told me that she came on her first day and it was raining, so yea! I guess I was lucky! Teehee~
Initially we didn't know where the hot springs were located and we just continued walking to the Bei Tou Thermal Valley. Well, we did get quite a view of the hot springs! :D
ME (ABSOLUTE POSER) WITH THE HOT SPRING AS THE BACKGROUND!
HAHAHA!
Didn't manage to go to the hot springs, because something happened. AHHH! Long story!
ANYWAYS!
If you guys are interested, there is this outdoor (Public) and indoor (Private) hot springs! Public is $2 SGD and Private is like $70 SGD?!!! If you're interested you can check out Noelle's post on her trip to Xin Bei Tou Hot Springs here: http://www.noellemikazuki.com/2013/10/8d7n-taiwan-trip-taipei-day-i.html
AFTER WHICH
We went to Dan Shui Old Street, to shop and also to WALK all the way to Yu Ren Ma Tou, YES YOU HEARD ME RIGHT! WALK! WE WALKED ALL THE WAY THERE!!!
I didn't know we could take transport there though, but it was definitely an experience! If I'm not wrong, we walked more than 20km!!! Hahaha!
Almost all the Starbucks there are 2 storeys or higher! DAMN! I really love all their Starbucks building, its all either vintage looking or classy looking kind! ♥
Here at Dan Shui Old Street. Looking around and buying stuff back as souvenirs!
AND NOW!
WE EMBARK ON OUR JOURNEY TO YU REN MA TOU!!!
AND WE KEEP WALKING~
AND WALKING~~~
AND WALKING~~~~~~~
AND WALK!
AND WE FINALLY REACHED! IT WAS ALL WORTH IT!!! TRUST ME!
The sense of achievement for walking such a long distance and seeing such magnificent view is definitely worth it and better than taking transport over there!
Here at Lover's Bridge (情人橋) where you see most tourists couples taking photos here! ME #ForeverAlone taking a photo here myself. T.T
We crossed over to the other side of the bridge, and we were brought to another magnificent view!
Settled down and took some photos before moving on! How can we not take a group photo when we're at such a beautiful place?!!!
GROUP SHOT!!!! ♥
JUMP SHOT!! ^.^
Before coming to Taiwan, I was looking through blogs and finding interesting places to go to, and I came across Vivian's blog on Yu Ren Ma Tou, and there's this photo of her taken at this Starbucks. At that point of time I told myself, "I MUST COME HERE! IF NOT I WILL DIE WITH REGRETS"!!!
AND HERE I AM! YAY!!!
Decided to chill at the Starbucks, everything was prolly the same as SG, just that, we're having it in Taiwan's Starbucks! LOLOLOL!!!
LOVE THE FACT THAT ITS SO SPACIOUS! WHY CAN'T SINGAPORE'S STARBUCKS BE THIS SPACIOUS ALSO?!!! :((((
TOOK A NIGHT PHOTO OF THIS STARBUCKS BEFORE LEAVING THIS PLACE.
Took a bus back to Dan Shui Bus Station, and took the metro back. That somehow sums up my Day 6 in Taiwan!
Hope you've enjoyed reading it so far! If you haven't read my Taiwan travelogue before, you can click the globe located at my sidebar! :D Heehee!
